INTRODUCING "SPEAK UP!" CREATIVE WORKSHOPS FOR TEENS

PMP is partnering with REBEL INTERACTIVE branding agency to host a series of “Speak Up!” Workshops especially for teens. Students from area schools will brainstorm ways to promote substance-abuse prevention in their own words. REBEL will turn selected campaign ideas from the workshops into posters and other collateral that PMP, teachers and student groups can use for youth-inspired, in-school outreach.

“Speak Up!” Youth Workshop Goals:
Empower teens to “Speak Up!” against substance abuse
Help teens become prevention advocates for themselves & their peers
Include students from a diverse cross-section of area schools

Student Outcomes:

  • Express creativity
  • Demonstrate leadership
  • Work collaboratively
  • Share a positive message to help peers
  • Develop ideas around promoting substance abuse prevention

“Speak Up!” Workshops are unique creative sessions that result in an impactful ‘for-teens/by-teens’ message. PMP hopes the youth-inspired approach will combat many high-powered marketing messages about addictive substances that are often targeted to teens.
